 For
Current and Future Generations of Engines
The performance
and production of modern combustion engines is being continually optimized.
Therefore, an ever increasing standard is also set for the fasteners.
In order to guarantee performance in each individual application, engine
bolts must have high elasticity and plastic deformation properties in
order to meet:
KAMAX engine
bolts are calculated, dimensioned, and produced while taking into consideration
economic aspects, as well as many other requirements such as multiple
uses, wear, environmental effects, as well as others.
KAMAX engine
bolts fulfill the requirements of our customers as well as the requirements
of national and international standards through the use of modern production
technology and facilities, as well as a capable quality assurance system.
The constant
further development of raw material combined with decades of experience
in the production of high tensile strength fasteners guarantees a tight
tolerance of the fastener strength.
To increase
mechanical properties both pre-heat treated material and work-hardened
raw material are used for tensile strengths up to approximately 1000 N/mm².
To increase
the fatigue life and to optimize the thread quality, KAMAX Engine Bolts
are thread rolled after the heat treat process step when requested.
KAMAX engine
bolts are manufactured with all common head types. For secure transfer
of high assembly torque, external 12 point, internal and external KARUND
or our newly developed KAPLUS drives are recommended.
With many
years of surface coatings experience KAMAX provides engine bolts that
are manufactured to maintain a constant friction coefficient.
KAMAX engine bolts offer the advantages of specially developed shaft
geometries
Reduced
shank bolts with turned or ground shanks.
Reduced shank
bolts have a defined relationship between the diameter of the reduced
shank, and the minor thread diameter. For this reason they offer the highest
possible elasticity.
Through new
production methods reduced shank bolts can also be completely cold formed,
thereby eliminating the costly grinding or turning step.
Helix
bolts with single or multiple helix leads.
Through precision
calibration of the outer diameter of the helix, very narrow fitting tolerances
are realized.
Groove
Bolts with concentrically running grooves and rings.
The outer
diameter of the grooves and rings perform the fitting function.
Long shaft
screws which are threaded approximately up to the head can be a more
cost effective alternative to reduced shank bolts in certain applications.
