Support and motivation of environmental consciousness Environment protection is based on a conscious behaviour of everybody. Each employee is jointly responsible for their behaviour towards environment and health protection in their working environment and each manager is obliged to support observance of this responsibility. Education towards consciousness of employees at all levels is supported by trainings, information and integration into processes.

Efficiency of the environment management system
The efficiency is continuously reviewed by regular audits and other actions. The management determines the necessary corrective actions and new aims for improvement and updates the environmental policy when reviewing the management system.

Behaviour in emergency cases and danger prevention
Alarm plans and danger preventive plans are available to avoid or reduce emissions caused by accidents. These plans are agreed with the relevant external workplaces, verified during joint emergency trainings and updated when needed. |

Production processes and products Environmental impacts resulting from activities on workplaces are checked and assessed. Suitable actions are taken to reduce environmental burden. Such actions reduce or avoid emissions, water burden, wastes and other environmental impacts. These aims are supported by the use of the best technology available, whenever economically justifiable. |

New production processes and products Environmental impacts of new products, activities and processes are assessed with regard to the future and reduced in the technically and economically possible volume.

Contracting partners and suppliers Suppliers and contracting partners are encouraged to environmentally desirable production and management. This includes also the commitment to adhere to our behaviour rules relevant for safety and environment in the plant premises.
