Rudolf
Kellermann founds the company "Rudolf Kellermann Fabrik für Gewindeteile,
Osterode am Harz" with 3 employees in Osterode am Harz, Germany. Right
from the start the customers came from the automotive industry.
1955
The
Osterode am Harz plant produces with 1,174 employees more than 6,000
tons of fasteners. The production facility in Osterode is at the limits
of its capacity and Rudolf Kellermann founds the second plant in Homberg/Ohm,
Hessen, Germany.
1970
882
employees already work in the Homberg/Ohm plant. In
Alsfeld-Altenburg, 30 driving minutes away from Homberg, the third
location is erected.
1973
The
founder dies on December 13th 1973 in Altstätten/Switzerland,
a few weeks before his 72nd birthday.
1980
The
second generation acquires a partnership in the Spanish bolt manufacturer
TUSA and initiates the first step towards Internationalization of
the KAMAX-Group.
1992
The
KAMAX-Group founds a "Greenfield operation" in Turnov/Czech Republic,
the second company abroad.
1995
By
acquisition of the US-American bolt manufacturer G.B. Dupont L.P.
the KAMAX-Group took the step over the Atlantic for a chance at
proving itself in the greatest automotive market in the world.
1999
The
third generation founds together with the French family owned company
A.RAYMOND, a manufacturer
of metal and plastic clips, the full service logistics enterprise
FACIL in Genk/Belgium as a joint
venture.
2000
The
second joint venture FACIL is founded in the USA.
2002
Facil
Europe supplies for more than 1 million vehicles per year from three
locations.
2003
The
production area of Turnov plant in the Czech Republik was doubled.
2004
The KAMAX-Group directly supplies the automotive manufactures in China.
2006
FACIL operates 11 locations and now has also added the truck market (commercial vehicle market). The 11 FACIL locations also now support the newly added commercial vehicle market.
2007
The Kamax-Group will commence production at the new location in Bardejov, Slovakia.
