The Account Manager will be responsible to be the KAMAX voice to the customer for assigned customers. The Account Manager will be responsible to manage overall customer communication, relationships with customer purchasing teams, identify and understand opportunities, RFQs, new order intake, new product intake, margin management and steel cost management.
The Account Manager must work as part of a global sales team supporting the globally responsible Account Manager.
- Establish, maintain and create long-term relationships with customers.
- Evaluate, analyze & develop sales strategy for assigned customers to identify new business & new product opportunites for KAMAX.
- Identify & obtain new request for quotes (RFQs) and ensure timely response to assigned customers. Obtain pricing feedback from assigned customers.
- Develop & execute a strategy to increase margin at assigned customers.
- Understand & negotiate steel compensation with assigned customers.
- Act as the internal voice of the customer, communicating customer specific requirements within the KAMAX organization to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Regular travel to assigned customers and maintain relationships as needed with customer purchasing, engineering, quality & logistics contacts.
- Understanding of basic fastener technical information including materials, heat treat, coatings, applications & torque tension. (Training will be provided)
- Summarize & present customer status, strategy, RFQs, new orders & margin management activities on a regular basis.
Profil
- Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing or Engineering preferred.
- Two or more years Account Management experience or other sales experience preferred.
- Ability to travel, both international and domestic, to support customer needs and expectations.
- Ability to think and act independently, self-motivated and require little or no supervision.
- Must be highly organized and flexible to handle multiple priorities.
- Must be proficient in the use of Windows-based computer software, especially Excel and Outlook.
