- Maintain laboratory cleanliness
- Facilitate PPAP studies and other related quality testing
- Calibrate and issue gages
- Write procedures
- Assist in employee training programs
- Ensure ISO/TS 16949 compliance
- Ensure proper testing practices including, but not limited to: tensile testing, torque, fatigue testing, hardness testing, sedimentation analysis, surface discontinues & grain flow, micro-hardness testing, ductility testing and surface texture testing
- Perform annual competency reviews on lab technicians
- Interact with other departments for collection and paperwork
- Issue internal PR&Rs
Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Materials, Quality Assurance or Metallurgy, or equivalent experience
- Five (5) to Ten (10) years lab experience
- Three (3) to Five (5) years management experience
- Strong communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Proficiency in developing charts and tables (Pareto, Paynter, Pivot)
- Understanding of Continuous Improvement practices (TPM, Lean, Six Sigma)
- A2LA & ISO 17025 knowledge
