'Non-Bolt-Products' will be called 'COMPLEX FORMED PARTS' in the future

We are changing the name of one of our strategic growth initiatives: 'Non-Bolt-Products' will be called 'COMPLEX FORMED PARTS' in the future.

Why and what does this name mean?

The previous name Non Bolt Products lacked a description - what products were we talking about? The term ‚Non Bolt‘ simply meant products other than bolts. A change was necessary. A team of experienced KAMAXians (Technology, Business Development, Sales, Communication, etc.) therefore accompanied the new naming process, exchanged opinions and views, made suggestions. The aim was to emphasize and highlight KAMAX's core competence, cold forming:

COMPLEX FORMED PARTS

The new name ‚Complex Formed Parts‘ combines the official technical term for formed parts with KAMAX complementary word ‚Complex‘.
‚Complex‘ stands for
the complexity of the shape of the parts produced
the effort and precision required to produce the parts/assemblies, which are as close to final contour as possible, including cold forming, machining, assembly and functional testing
new dimensions of product quality in terms of tolerance, cleanliness and handling of parts
‚FORMED‘ stands for a forming process that is as close to final contour as possible at the beginning of the value chain.

We present examples of future products:
(i) the road chisel - a cold formed part produced with final contour
(ii) the bicycle bottom bracket shaft and bushings - parts with very precise tolerances produced by near-net-shape cold forming and subsequent machining.
(iii) the Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) – ‚Assemblies‘, in this production the near-net-shape cold forming and precision machining is followed by cleaning, assembly and testing.

Complex Formed Parts - one of the important strategic goals is to significantly expand market share in this area and thus position KAMAX more independently of combustion engine technology in the automotive industry. With its new name, KAMAX emphasizes that its products are not the manufacture of standard formed parts, but individual, in some cases highly complex parts made to customer specifications.
