6 questions. 6 minutes.
During your internship, you have the possibility of participating in a meeting with colleagues from around the world. What are your thoughts?
I look forward to meeting employees from other countries.
That will certainly be exhausting...
It's great that I have the opportunity to also gain insights on the international level. I hope I can actively participate as well.
During your internship, you realize that there are standards for many processes. What is your opinion on this?
Standards are restrictive and as such, they can certainly be circumvented from time to time.
Standards are important, they ensure quality as well as efficiency, provide orientation, and provide synergies.
Standards are certainly important, and I reckon I still have a few things to learn about that.
Another intern with whom you have been working together in the department for 2 months behaves in a manner that, in your view, is quite awkward. How do you respond?
In a quiet moment, I approach him and explain my impressions.
I decide to first wait for a while and approach him if the "incident" happens again.
I keep my observations to myself; after all, in this case it's just my subjective opinion.
You are discussing controversial issues with other interns. What are your thoughts?
I listen to the opinions of others, but I prefer to ultimately prevail with my arguments.
I had hoped that I would be among like-minded people.
Through the different views of others, I can probably incorporate aspects that I had not previously considered.
Your internship is drawing to a close. What is important for you now?
I am already concentrating on the next steps, such as my internship report for the university. The next intern will certainly continue the tasks here.
That I complete as many tasks as possible and ensure that my successor can effectively continue working on the issues.
I draw up a list for my colleagues of open items that must still be completed.
When are you satisfied with the result of a task?
When I have reached a successful result.
When I consider the result to be good.
When the person who assigned me the task is impressed with the result.
