GM Supplier Quality Excellence Award goes to two KAMAX operations
Good news for the KAMAX plants in Museros and Turnov: In September, 2016, General Motors has rewarded both operations with the Supplier Quality Excellence Award for their outstanding performance throughout the last year. In their statement GM mentioned, that these suppliers have proven their ability for excellent quality. The US-American car manufacturer outlined, that the outstanding performance of suppliers such as KAMAX is essential to the quality of their own products.
In order to achieve this highly regarded award suppliers have to fulfill 13 different criteria. Most important there must be not a single defect with the delivered parts.
Affirmation and Motivation
The plant in Spain received this prize already for the second time.
“We are pleased about this award from one of our most important customers”, says Manfred Weidner, Managing Director in Museros. “It stands for recognition of the efforts of our employees. Of course we know that this award is for the last year and that we have to give our best every day in order to keep the same high level. This affirmation lifts our motivation.”
Also the KAMAX plant in Czech Republic is one of the winners of the GM Supplier Quality Excellence Award. Vladimír Košíček, Managing Director in Turnov, also describes it as affirmation and motivation maintaining the high standards. “Kamax Turnov is one out of 36 suppliers, which won the GM SQE Award three times already. We are proud of receiving this award and we do our best for keeping the high performance further on.”
